Frequently Asked & Question

The Panch Kedar Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage in Uttarakhand covering five Lord Shiva temples — Kedarnath, Tungnath, Rudranath, Madhyamaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar — located in the Garhwal Himalayas.

A comfortable Panch Kedar Yatra typically requires 10 to 12 days, as it involves road travel and multiple Himalayan treks to complete all five temples safely.

The Panch Kedar trek is considered moderate to challenging, as it includes long treks like Kedarnath (16 km), Madhyamaheshwar (16–18 km), and Rudranath (approx. 18–20 km). Basic physical fitness is essential.

Panch Kedar involves multiple high-altitude treks, so it is suitable for physically fit senior travellers only. Medical consultation and proper preparation are strongly recommended.

Helicopter services are available only for Kedarnath Temple. The other four temples — Tungnath, Rudranath, Madhyamaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar — require trekking.

The best time for Panch Kedar Yatra is May to June and September to October, when weather conditions are stable and trekking routes remain open and safe.
